The access road covers three kilometers and fifty meters of elevation, almost flat from the Pampa Linda Ranger Station to the CastaƱo Overa River, which is crossed by a pedestrian bridge.
From there, the ascent begins on the same road through a mountain slope of approximately six kilometers and 500 meters of elevation until reaching the top of the hill, a place called La Almohadilla.
From that point, the route continues with a gentler slope to the west, and after walking about 2 km and 150 meters of elevation, you reach Descanso de los Caballos, located right at the vegetation limit. From this point, begin the final ascent, covering about 3 km and 350 meters of elevation, through a ridge now without vegetation and with paint marks on the rocks indicating the path to the refuge.
